Obtained from the guy who own it from 1980, bought at the Great Movie Memorabilia Auction II, with original catalog and COA from Charles Band, president of Wizard Promotions.

The original title was "Capt Kirk Uniform".

But because there is only one rank, it was re-auctioned in March 2001, on ebay,  as "worn by an unknown character "...

I won it, and few weeks after, my wife and I have recovered it at the seller home in California, just before the Pasadena Star Trek Convention ...

Returning in France, I took time to take photos in full outside light and discovered marks of the 2 other capt ranks, so it is clear that this tunic was downgraded because shrinkage and then used by a background character. It is absolutely velour fabric and authentic braid...

Long time after, I Learn about the Double Gusset present on all William Shatner Tunics ...

I also sent photos to Gerald Gurian who confirms the authentication of the tunic.

Because of its patch sewing, the tunic is formally identifiable in at least 7 episodes of the first and second season.

i´m very proud to own that was once worn by Captain Kirk ...
